Studebaker Factory Demolition Begins
South Bend moves on ...
"The city [of South Bend] recently started above ground demolitions at the remnants of Studebaker Factory site on Sample Street and Franklin Street and plans to have them complete by February. Turning the 83 acres of this land into Ignition Park, a place where many hope South Bend's brightest technological companies will work to produce even more cutting edge technology."

The April 2011 Sacramento Swap Meet was full of great parts and cars. I saw two 1950 Studebaker Champions and a blue Lark for sale. There was also a 1947 Dodge truck and some really nice gas pumps - love those Sinclair pumps.

Studebaker National Museum - Mascot Naming Contest
Activate the younger household members to name the SNM's mascot!
"This mascot naming contest is open to children ages 7 to 12. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. on June 3rd, 2011. Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place winners, which will be announced on June 13th on the Museum's website. All entries become the property of the Studebaker National Museum and may be used for any purpose. One entry per child, please."
