2010 California Automobile Museum - Holiday Decorating

We drove our 1950 Studebaker Champion to the California Automobile Museum to view the Karel Staple Chapter xmas tree. I must admit to walking up just as they snapped the group picture, and can't take credit for any of the decorating.

Anyway, here are a few photographs from the event, including a few photos of a gorgeous 1923 Studebaker Model EL Special Six 5 Passenger Sedan. I'm told that much of the paint on the EL is original!

Studebaker Parts - Classic Enterprises - Loga Enterprises

Classic Enterprises and Ernie Loga in one article at the Journal Sentinel website!

"Classic Enterprises employs 3.5 workers who stay busy stamping out floor panels, tailgates, rocker panels, body supports, door skins and spare tire wheel wells among many other parts that gear heads need to turn their rusty old Studebaker into a sweet ride."

"Studebaker owners are a breed of their own, said Ernie Loga, 63, of Eau Claire. Most don't own just one. In fact, Loga, who operates a firm that makes interior Studebaker parts, figures the 45 members in the Badger Wheel Studebaker chapter in northwestern Wisconsin could put together a car show of 100 vehicles. Loga should know - he owns nine restored Studebakers plus another three waiting for tender, loving care."

Sacramento International Auto Show - Studebaker

Through the good fortune of having a friend with a Ferrari F355 Spider in the Euro Sunday display area, I was invited to show "Doc" the 1950 Studebaker Champion in Building 4 at the Sacramento International Auto Show.

Bonus: Doc is parked next to a near duplicate of my Dad's first car - a VW Karmann Ghia in blue.

Visit the Sacramento International Auto Show website.

A great little article about the Studebaker Champion featured on the TV show "American Pickers", and how the car will get a 'rodded restoration' by Holler's Hot Rods in Independence.

The cars noted in the brochure are:
