Oldsmobile Holiday 98

My coworker's mom spent eight years restoring this beautiful 1954 Oldsmobile Holiday 98. She sourced, installed, buffed, cleaned, directed, and put a lot of emotion into restoring her dream car. Here it is at the 2011 Oldsmobile National Car Show in Reno, NV. This was the car's debut, so a pretty special time was had by the owner.

Everything for Sale - Even the Studebaker

"Seventy-eight-year-old Leonard Hall chuckles as he relates the saga of the 1950 Studebaker. As the oldest inanimate object on the lot, this car merits special mention. The red-rust four-door sedan has been sitting on the lot of Hall’s 2nd Hand Store in Central El Paso for 25 years. Like a loyal dog, it awaits its owner’s return ..."

Doesn't look like a '50 to me!

1952 Studebaker Commander - Owner's Story

'Phillip Cole loves his 1952 Studebaker Commander. One good reason: "It's an American car." In fact, he says the design of postwar Studebakers like his was inspired by the P-38 Lightning fighter -- the "fork-tailed devil" that dominated the skies in the Pacific.'

MI Lawmaker Pushes Use of Historic Car Plates

Great idea:

"A Michigan lawmaker has called for classic car drivers to be allowed to use state historical vehicle license plates wherever they drive in August, not just to and from historic or automotive events."

"A pole barn on his property houses a 1927 Model T, a 1928 Essex, a 1936 Plymouth and a 1950 Studebaker. Kowall said he plans to drive the Studebaker in the Aug. 20 Woodward Dream Cruise in suburban Detroit."

Studebaker + Pizza = The Rolling Stonebaker

My two favorites: Studebakers and pizza.

"Young chefs discover the schedule of a brick-and-mortar restaurant is not conducive to new families, so the benefits of a food truck were enticing: low overhead, flexible schedule, mobility, interaction with customers, and oh ... no laws in their town prohibiting it."
