"The Studebaker car company died nearly 46 years ago. But just saying the name brings back memories of malt shops and good times for some residents of South Bend.
For more than a hundred years, Studebaker made all kinds of vehicles there at the company’s sprawling production campus. Everything from horse drawn carriages to the stylish automobiles like the Lark and Avanti.
Today the town is a very different place."

Studebaker Parts and Accessories
I'm a sucker for packaging. Below is an envelope that came with some NOS, new old stock, parts from Studebakers West in Redwood City, California.
I love that Studebakers West felt compelled to include the NOS parts in their original parts envelope, and I particularly enjoy the handwritten notes.

NOS - New Old Stock - Studebaker Champion Fuel Gauge
There's something special about New Old Stock merchandise, also known as "NOS." NOS is merchandise that was manufactured long ago, but that’s never been used and is now being offered for sale.
We installed a NOS Studebaker Champion fuel gauge in our Champion. In addition to having a working fuel gauge, we now have the old gauge and the original box – which oozes history. You can envision boxes of Studebaker parts being packaged and shipped to dealerships across America.
